A presentation for Imam Malik College students taking part in the 26th Inter-College Environmental Public Speaking Competition 2026, organised by the Emirates Environmental Group, under Topic 4: “A crisis beneath our feet: can soil restoration tackle climate change?”. It argues the case before a “climate court” — the soil as plaintiff and legislative omission as defendant — presents the scientific evidence of the FAO and the UNCCD, maps the legislative gap in UAE, EU and international law, and closes with a five-point judgment.
